The idea for "the Unsettling Plant Shop" came to me while getting into my plant dad era and finding myself attracted to fellow plant lovers. I started watching all kinds of plant YouTubers and taking care of my own babies, so I wanted to make a piece featuring a plant shop worker and a bunch of plants. The dark twist with adding creepy little eyeball monsters and plants with eyeballs was just a concept I came up with for fun and to make it more interesting. I wanted this plant daddy to feel a little eerie, like you want to give him a hug but you also don't fully trust him. Unfortunately, I made this piece itself very small which was unintentional, especially because it's hard to feature all the details. It was also unintentional the resemblance this piece has to the cult classic "Little Shop of Horrors", but I allow my audience to interpret this in that way.
