I made this piece for my friend named Jade. My goals for this were to capture Jade's resemblance while also exaggerating her features just enough to transform her into my style. I also wanted to create a traditional illustration without the use of pen for outlines, so it felt more soft, realistic look to it. I enjoyed finding the balance for this piece using darker colors, such as hunter green, indigo blue,, and various shades of brown.
